I will reveal to you some tips on what to do and what to avoid. If used incorrectly Google Adwords can become very expensive very quickly.Use Google’s AdWords Editor to manage your campaigns. You can save your self a boatload of time if you use the free tool from Google Adword Editor. Not only does it allow you to manage your campaigns offline but with its available feature it allows you to run bulk or multiple updates to your campaign. Disable the Content Network. For those of you who are just starting out you should try to avoid using Content Network in Google Adwords. It’s a good tool if you’re raking in the bucks but you should disable it in your PPC campaigns. Traffic from the content network is of lower grade and not worth it. It is sent by participants who don’t care what they send you.Set a reasonable daily budget. It is very important to control your spending when it comes to traffic and Adwords. At least till you have a decent ROI. Don’t go blowing your budget by loosing control of your spending and ruining your CTR. Once you have the money coming in and showing some good results you can reinvest some of that profit and increase just a bit.Don’t set your CPC too low.Don’t make the mistake of throttling your campaign by bidding too low per click, by doing this you can affect your CTR. You need a good CTR to maintain a good quality. Don’t make the mistake of damaging your CTR by bidding to low. If you begin with a high bid, you can achieve a good CTR. After your achieve the high CTR, you can lower your CPC and still maintain a good ad position thus saving money in the long run.Don’t hang on to poor performing keyword. Here’s a tip if you have some keywords and ad groups that are not performing well, try moving them to its own campaign and start split testing sales copy changes. It is important to have a good CTR and a bad keyword will lower your standings. Any ad under half with a high number of impressions should be altered or better yet remove the ad group or keyword.Here’s another helpful hint to get the most of your campaign. Since landing pages are examined and scored by AdWords just like your website is for inclusion on the Google search engine, do perform an SEO on your landing pages as well.
